Briefing

In these courses, we’ve got several exercises around sketching. Some of which had to be handed in by the end of the day. Others had a deadline for the next week so we could work on them at home.

Intro

During my study, I was taught several ways to communicate ideas. We've learned to sketch, draw and render on paper as well as on the computer.

Analog sketching

This course was given at university. We started with getting the techniques right. After a while we learned coloring and shading with markers. At the end of the semester, we were given some assignments which were used for grading.

Digital sketching

As a continuation of analog sketching, we learned to draw with a Wacom digital sketchpad in Sketchbook. The basics of physically drawing on paper are still very applicable in digital drawing.

Keyshot rendering

When I discovered Keyshot, I immediately liked it a lot. It wasn’t introduced to me in school though. At first I messed around a bit with Solidworks Visualize but after a while, some classmates told me about Keyshot. I learned it by trial and a lot of error.
